Welcome to AeroF1. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

Information We Collect

1. Subscription Information

When you purchase a premium subscription:

  • Transaction data from Apple's StoreKit (transaction ID, product ID, purchase date, expiration date)
  • Subscription status (free, active monthly, active annual)

How We Use It: Verify your subscription status, enable premium features, and provide grace period access.

Storage: Cached locally in your device's keychain. We do not have access to your payment information (handled by Apple).

2. App Preferences

The app stores your preferences locally (Team theme, App icon, Accent color, etc.). This is stored using UserDefaults and is never transmitted.

3. Cache Data

To improve performance, we temporarily cache API response data and images in memory and disk. This automatically expires and can be cleared by iOS.

4. Live Activity Data

Real-time race updates for Live Activities are temporarily stored for the duration of the session and automatically cleared afterwards.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Analytics or tracking data: We do not use analytics services.
  • Location data: We do not access your location.
  • Contacts or photos: We do not access your personal files.
  • Personal information: No email, name, phone number, or login credentials.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide Formula 1 data, manage your subscription, store your preferences, cache data for performance, and deliver Live Activities.

Third-Party Services

We use OpenF1 API and Jolpica/Ergast API to retrieve data. The app accesses these APIs on your behalf. We also use Apple StoreKit for subscriptions.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including Keychain Storage for subscription data and HTTPS for all network communications. All data processing occurs on your device.

Your Rights

Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA), you have rights regarding your data. Since all data is stored locally, you can exercise most rights by accessing Settings or deleting the app.
